Tantrums

we had so many tantrums this weekend that i've lost count but boy were there a lot.  let's see, they were in:

  • BRU - screamed all through the store because i wouldn't let her stand in the cart (i don't feel too bad about this one because i'm pretty sure it happens to everyone at least once in this store...however it continued into the parking lot and into the car where she proceeded to break a piece of her car seat and kick her boots off into my face (and then ask for her boots back after it all ended)
  • my friend's driveway - not sure why but she sat there in the dark, in the ice and i had my hands full so i couldn't do much about it
  • the street - because i told her no she couldn't touch the snow without gloves on (glad the neighbors witnessed that show)
  • my living room - five times - because i took her sneakers off, didn't read a book right away, her pants were too tight (see above), and some other ridiculous reasons i can't remember
  • her crib - because i put her in for a nap (what a terrible mother) and because my husband put her to bed (again...terrible)
  • the basement - because we came in from playing in the snow
  • a store - because i wouldn't let her roll on the floor
oh and i had a mini tantrum this afternoon at my dining room table...just in case you're wondering where mine was...and it was because i'm tired of the tantrums, tired of the sick, tired of not being able to do what i want or need to do.  just tired.  special props to my friend R who took care of me tonight for just a little while...that is until lil C had that tantrum in her driveway.

can't wait for tomorrow...

  1. I think it's the antibiotic so hang in there, kiddo. I know it's hard. I'll be there soon and give you some time off. Wish it could be sooner!!!! Love, Mom

  2. The pants thing...totally my fault. Kids hate jeans. Mine still won't wear them. I failed as an aunt for giving her "too tight" jeans.
