Six months!!!

 

my sweet girl, happy six month birthday.  there were moments when i never thought we'd get to this point.  the summer of 2009 did its best to get us down.  then the long road to recovery...hope got us through.  we needed a few months to get the timing down, but then in june 2011 in vegas of all places, we learned that you were on your way.  nine (ten?) long months later, you showed your pretty face.  best. day. ever.  

you were so little and cute...such a pretty face.  and those cheeks!  good thing you were cute because then came the sleepless nights...although in truth there weren't that many.  you've been a pretty good sleeper which we really appreciate...keep that coming!  breastfeeding wasn't a walk in the park, but you seemed to enjoy it.  you really didn't like formula at first so i really didn't have much of a choice.  

when three months was up, i had to give up my days with you.  sad?  not really.  we needed a bit of alone time :)  that time apart makes our time together even better!  you made some friends at day care and spent some time with grandma, granddad, auntie livy, and auntie kari.  you were rolling, then sitting up, then crawling...can't keep up with you!  you were always a mover and a shaker!  you keep us on our toes, that's for sure.  

you're eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner now...we can't seem to keep you full!  you even tried some cake and some cracker just a couple days ago, but i'm not sure you're ready for that yet.

you love your baths, especially if you have toys to chew on.  you're on to your midsize bathtub now and are enjoying all the room.  you had your baptism on september 9th and didn't cry a bit...except after tasting that cake.  maybe you thought the baptism was just like your bath?  

you're not shy at all and always seem to have a grin on your face...except for when you're hungry.  then you're just screaming and yelling.  we can't seem to feed you fast enough!  you've spent time with lots of family and friends and even had an overnight slumber party with GG while daddy and i went away for our first overnight trip since you were born.  thanks for being such a good girl :)
