time out...i need a minute...
my daughter is entering the terrible two's...really early. somehow i knew this would happen early, probably as a punishment for how i treated my parents for years. i was really a nasty bitch at times. sorry mom and dad and whoever else i was a bitch to. if i say sorry now, will that make cassie better? ha!
NO is the favorite word now. she says no to everything, even things she means yes for...like her favorite foods, or special toy, or going to the playground, or whatever. no, no, no, no, no. sometimes she says it out of the blue and i wonder if she's arguing with herself in her own head!
she's also being very defiant. very. tonight she colored on the floor and the husband said not to do that, so she moved to another spot and started coloring again. and again. i intervened and put her in a time out. she doesn't really know what that is yet, but i'm working on teaching her. i have a feeling she'll be in time out a lot...groan. again, sorry to my parents :)
so the whole point here is to ask my readers (all three of you) what your best disciplinary trick is. my sister used 123 magic...i've seen it work. does anyone else have any ideas?

You were a challenge SOMETIMES!! All children are - especially if he/she is bright, OK? It's all good. Be sure she only gets her crayons at her art center and she puts them away before she gets down. If she gets down with them? They are taken away and disappear for a time. When she sits at her art center again, she can have her crayons. Consistency is the key - easy? Uh-uh. Very hard on parents but very important for training - worth it though. Baby sitters have to carry through also... in my opinion Love, GG
