Ten months

wow, how did we get here so fast!  cassie had an exciting month... (ignore the baby mess in the pictures)

• first christmas!  i think she enjoyed herself.  christmas eve was at grandma and granddad's, so was christmas day.  she got a table/cooktop, toys, and clothes and immerses herself in cooking every day.  the following weekend, she had christmas at G.G.'s and papa's houses.  very busy girl!  i didn't take enough pictures, sad about that.
• first visit with santa!  she was a pro!  she wore a dress from G.G. that matched santa's outfit perfectly.  no tears!
• first weekend alone with daddy!  i went to long island and she was with dad for a few days.  both lived, but daddy sure was tired afterwards!
• second tooth!  she's a cutie with those two little buds poking through.  we can only see them when she's laughing or yelling.  
• second trip to long island!  she did much better on this trip than she did when we went when she was three months old.  she slept for the entire car ride down and had her first lunch at a rest stop in between naps (how exciting).  she did her christmas things and also got to say goodbye to her great-nana who was sick.  she got to meet her uncles and see her cousins and other family too.  she was a little social butterfly.
• first time standing by herself!  this is adorable...she stands by herself, but i don't think she's aware that she's doing it.  i just love watching it.  she's able to turn around and hold things while she's doing it, so i think she's strong.  she'll be walking any day i think.
• new words!  she's an expert at "uh oh" so she's moved on to "no"...not my favorite.  also says "ow" which comes in handy (see below).  she also has cute little sounds that are meant for our kitties although i don't think they understand quite yet. 
• first bloody nose!  she slipped in the bathtub while i was holding her and bashed her face into the side of the tub...lovely.
• first accident report at daycare!  once again she was throwing herself around and hit her face on the playhouse at daycare.  she's okay, just some red marks.
• first irritating habit!  she's throwing her food.  ugh.  
• 1,482nd cold!  snot cough snot cough...that's all i can say.

but she's still a cutie pie!!!
