my sweet girl...cut me a break. it's been a few weeks now that you've been waking up during the night with your cries. those pathetic little cries... daddy and i lie there pretending we don't hear, pretending we're sleeping so the other makes the first move, pretending we were "just" about to get up when the other already did. ha. it's also been two days that you won't nap...today just an hour...yesterday a bit more. mommy needs a break. mommy needs her own nap. thank goodness for daddy and his endless patience with you and the water table and the hose and the water play. thank goodness you're so adorable. thank goodness you smell so delicious after your baths. thank goodness for those grins and those giggles. and thank goodness for those hugs and those "mamas" you throw my way every so often.
