- mustard colored poops
- lots of poops
- huge nipples (will these ever go back to normal?)
- big boobs
- feeling like a cow who feeds on demand (up to a third of the hours in my day!)
- sore nipples
- hard
- can't drink wine when i want to
- nursing bras (my next career will be to make decent nursing bras)
- leakage/nursing pads (see this post)
- responsibility of being sole provider of baby's nourishment
- pumping (have to admit...i love it and hate it)
- hooter hider as fashion accessory
Yes, your nips return to normal no matter how long you breast feed. Excellent lists - hard decision...Love, Mom

ReplyDeleteThe last one made me chuckle. For Christmas, Mike bought me sessions with a wardrobe stylist. When we were going through my closet, she found my old hooter hiders... and held them up with a confused look on her face... "is this a wrap skirt?" Ha, no...
ReplyDeleteOh, and a little PSA -- be careful about saying your baby is "smarter" or "healthier" because she's breastfed. It's hard for me (and women like me) not to feel defensive when I hear/read these things because, while I did nurse Anna as much as I could, she was primarily formula fed. The important thing is that you're feeding your baby and it's working for all of you, not the source. :)
